In our search for new trainees, we regularly take part in training fairs, study fairs and university information days, especially in spring. What they all have in common is that we can of course talk enthusiastically about our tasks and the training opportunities at mkf at a trade fair stand, but our opportunities to make it tangible for the young people are limited. That's why we always look forward to the “Schülercollege”.
In a one-day internship, interested pupils can try out the two training professions of cutting machine operator and mechatronics technician. They complete a small project together with our colleagues. After a brief introduction to the basics, the young people create a personalized cube on our CNC machines or a mechatronic assembly - a small robot with glowing eyes - with the help of mkf colleagues.
In addition to the concentrated work on the projects, there was of course plenty of time for questions about our daily tasks and training at mkf.
We really enjoyed the day again. And we will be back at Schülercollege again next year.
